Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations
If you or your doctor suspect that your child has a problem, early evaluation is crucial.  Knowing what is "typical" and what is not in your child’s development, can help you figure out if you should be concerned or if your child is right on schedule or not.

Evaluations are conducted in 1-2 hour long sessions and include standardized testing, observation during free-play, and parent interview/ report. Assessment results identify your child's strengths, challenges and detailed description of the nature of the deficit, if one is present.  Recommendations will include whether therapy is appropriate, frequency and length of treatment, as well as strategies and suggested goals.  A full report is provided and a copy can be sent to your doctor on request.

Feeding Evaluations include observation and assessment of the motor skills and sensory involvement in feeding, as well as discussion of behavioral concerns.  Prior to the assessment, you will be asked to keep a journal of the food that your child eats and the associated behaviors during mealtime.  Feeding evaluations take place in the office. However, if necessary, arrangements can be made for an evaluation to be conducted in your home.  A full report with recommendations will be provided.
